Curriculum
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" - Nelson Mandela

Children's Voices
Children bring their own interests, thoughts and experiences to Just 4 Tots FDC. By involving them in curriculum planning, the children will not only participate more but also view themselves as valued members of the community.

Intentional Teaching
As an educator, I observe the children's developmental achievements daily. As part of my role, activities are planned to introduce new skills, extend on emerging skills and refine learnt skills.

Families' Voices
Family input into the curriculum encourages collaboration between home and education. This partnership brings about a sense of belonging for both the children and the families.

Literacy
Talking, listening, reading stories, making up stories, drawing, pretend play all, singing songs encourage children to develop important skills needed to express themselves

Our World
The children in care today are the leaders of tomorrow. Raising an awareness of the importance of sustainability encourages the children's understanding of its importance today and for the future.

Diversity, Inclusion & Acceptance

STEAM
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics! Making a volcano, using a camera, ramp building, painting, music, patterns, measuring and so much more help children to make sense of their world and express meaning.

Kimochi Corner
Kimochi (KEY. MO. CHEE) means “feeling” in Japanese. Sometimes children (and adults) have strong feelings that can fuel challenging behaviours. Sometimes it's hard to know how to communicate when you are in an emotional moment. Kimochi Corner is a little space to let us "feel"
Healthy Bodies
Establishing sound eating and activity habits from an early age gives children the best chance of leading a healthy life and maintaining a healthy weight. Munch & Move supports the NSW Government’s priority of preventing childhood overweight and obesity.

Community
Over recent years, Just 4 Tots has added "giving back to our community. Letters to the elderly, care packs to our troops overseas, hampers for those less fortunate, placemats for Meals on Wheels and our ever growing support for Bear Cottage are some of the ways the children are encouraged to recognise that if they can be anything in this world, be kind!

Encouarging children to be inclusive and accepting of difference, helps them to develop friendship skills, positive self-image, respect for others.
